What we collect
Video, audio, event metadata, and device health telemetry captured by Sitinel units installed at customer jobsites. Account data from contractors and brokers: name, company, email, phone, billing info. Support tickets and usage logs from the dashboard.
What we anonymize (on-device, before anything leaves the unit)
- Human faces will be blurred before any frame is used for training.
- License plates will be blurred before any frame is used for training.
- Anonymization runs on the Sitinel device itself. Raw faces/plates in training-bound frames never leave the jobsite.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your footage. Not to brokers, not to carriers, not to data brokers, not to advertisers.
- We don't run ads. Sitinel has no ad business; your video isn't a targeting signal.
- We don't volunteer footage to law enforcement. We require a valid warrant or subpoena, we notify the customer unless legally prohibited from doing so, and we publish an annual transparency report.
Evidence chain is separate from training
The cryptographic evidence chain — per-frame hashes, signed hourly Merkle roots, append-only transparency log — is operated independently of the training dataset. A clip verified against the log never passes through our training pipeline. You can hand a clip to an insurer or court with full confidence that the chain of custody is intact.
Opting out
Every customer can opt out of training-data ingestion at the base price. Same cameras, same on-device AI, same active-deployment monitoring — your footage simply isn't used to improve the shared model. Toggle it in-app or email privacy@sitinel.ai.
Retention
Training-bound footage is retained for 24 months, then deleted. Customer-owned evidence (recordings on your device or paired storage) is governed by your own retention choice — 1 month included, or extended to 1, 5, or 10 years in the cloud. Sitinel does not keep extra copies of your jobsite footage outside the tier you pick.
